The Statutory Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society NI met on the 7 and 8 September 2023, in relation to the fitness to practise of Jeffrey Reaney (Registration Number: 2317 IP). The Statutory Committee found the Registrant’s fitness to practise to be currently impaired and in accordance with paragraph 7(2)(d) of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976. The Statutory Committee imposed a Warning, to remain on the Register of pharmaceutical chemists in Northern Ireland until 08 September 2025.

The Statutory Committee found the Registrant’s fitness to practise to be currently impaired and in accordance with paragraph 7(2)(d) of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976, imposed a Suspension Order on the Registrant for a period of 12 months.

This decision is an “appealable fitness to practise decision” in accordance with paragraph 10(1)(b) of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976. The direction of the Committee takes effect in accordance with paragraph 11 of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976.

On 27 June 2022, the Statutory Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland met to consider allegations brought by the Registrar of the Pharmaceutical Society of NI, in relation to the fitness to practise of John Patrick McGuigan. In accordance with para 7(2)(a) of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976, the Statutory Committee gave a warning, to remain on the register of pharmaceutical chemists in Northern Ireland for a period of one year.

On 5 and 6 May 2022 and 23 June 2022, the Statutory Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland met to consider allegations brought by the Registrar of the Pharmaceutical Society of NI, in relation to the fitness to practise of Alexandra Bradley.  In accordance with paragraph 7(2)(e) of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976, the Committee directed that Conditions should be imposed upon the Registrant’s practice for a period of 12 months.

The Statutory Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society NI met on 26 September and 23 October 2019 and on the 06 March and 07 August 2020 to consider allegations brought by the registrar of the Pharmaceutical Society NI in relation to the fitness to practise of Mr James Gerard Maginn (2159). The Committee, in accordance with paragraph 7(2)(d) of Schedule 3 of the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976, made a direction that the registration of James Gerard Maginn be suspended from the Register for a period of six months.

This decision is an “appealable fitness to practise decision” in accordance with paragraph 10(1)(b) of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976.

The direction to suspend Mr James Gerard Maginn from the register will take effect in accordance with paragraph 11 of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976.

The Statutory Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society NI met on 18 September and 03 October 2019 to consider allegations brought by the registrar of the Pharmaceutical Society of NI, in relation to the fitness to practise of Michelle McPeake.  In accordance with para 7(2)(c) of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976, the Committee directed that the name of Michelle McPeake (5097), be struck off the register held by the Registrar in accordance with Article 6(1) of the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976.

This decision is an “appealable fitness to practise decision” in accordance with paragraph 10(1)(a) of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976

The direction of the Committee will take effect in accordance Paragraph 11 of Schedule 3 to the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976.

Pursuant to Paragraph 12(2) of Schedule 3 of the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976, as an interim measure, a period of suspension was ordered until the period of appeal has expired, or in the event of an appeal being lodged, until the date on which the appeal is disposed of, is abandoned or fails for non-prosecution.

The Statutory Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society NI met on 18 May 2018 to review the suspension order imposed by the Committee on 28 September 2017 in relation to the Registrant Mr Martin James White, registration number 3062R

The Statutory Committee issued a direction to the Registrar that, in accordance with regulation 7(3)(a)(i) of the Regulations, the name of Mr Martin James White be struck-off the register kept in pursuance of Article 6 of the Order.

Mr White’s name was removed from the register of pharmaceutical chemists on 18 May 2018.
