The Chief Executive comments on the June 2023 Common Registration Assessment Results

The results of the UK-wide Common Registration Assessment for pharmacists, held jointly by the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland and General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in June 2023, have been published.

A total of 2,805 candidates sat the assessment in the four UK countries in June 2023, with 2,150 candidates passing, an overall pass rate of 77%. In Northern Ireland, 125 candidates sat the assessment with 116 passing, an overall pass rate of 93%.

Pharmaceutical Society NI Chief Executive, Michaela McAleer said:

“We would like to congratulate all successful candidates on the achievement of passing their registration assessment and will look forward to them joining the Register and embarking upon their pharmacy career.

We understand that a number of candidates will be disappointed with their result and would guide them to the published guidance on the Pharmaceutical Society NI website which gives details on the next steps available to trainees, including links to organisations and resources that can provide support with health and wellbeing.”
