The President of the Pharmaceutical Society NI, Dr Geraldine O’Hare, has published a holiday message to pharmacists and members of the pharmacy team in Northern Ireland.
“Since my appointment as President of the Council of Pharmaceutical Society NI in November 2022, I have been struck by the commitment and professionalism of pharmacists working in numerous settings. This is reflected in the high regard that pharmacists are held in by patients and the public.
“On behalf of the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society NI, I want to pay tribute to the positive impact that pharmacists, and members of the pharmacy team, have made to the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities, across Northern Ireland in 2022.
“Whilst there are undoubtedly significant challenges ahead, 2023, and beyond, promises to be an exciting period. The profession continues to evolve and develop, enhancing its vital role within our health and social care system. With ongoing educational reforms, the planned registration of pharmacy technicians, and the current review of the Code of Conduct, Ethics and Performance, we at the Pharmaceutical Society NI are committed to playing our part in the future of the profession and patient safety in 2023.
“On behalf of the Pharmaceutical Society NI, I would like to wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.”
