Registration Examination
The Registration Examination will be held on Thursday 7th June 2012, SU Snack Bar, Queen's Students' Union, 79-81 University Road, Belfast BT7 1NF and Wednesday 3rd October 2012, Society House, 73 University Street, Belfast BT7 1HL.

The Registration Examination is held normally in June and October of each training year. A pass in this examination is a pre-requisite for registration. Trainees must have completed at least 45 weeks pre-registration training to be eligible to sit this examination.
Examination Results
Results for October 2011 Registration Examination will be displayed here on Wednesday 19th October 2011 at 4pm. In order to access your individual result you will be required to enter your examination number and surname, please click here to access your results.

It is the candidate's responsibility to have the relevant edition of these reference sources. They will not be provided.
Examination Syllabus
The examination syllabus is provided in the Training Manual.
Examination Entry Form
The examination entry form is provided in the 2012 Training Manual. It can also be downloaded by clicking the Examination Entry Form link. Applications must be received at least six weeks before the date of the examination (i.e. by 1st May 2012 for June examinations and 1st September 2012 for October examinations). The fee for the Registration Examination 2012 is £164, the late administration fee of £100 will apply for applications recieved after 1st May 2012 and 1st September 2012 for the October Exam.
Sample Papers
In order to help with preparation for the Registration Examination, we have provided ONE set of past papers. This is the examination from October 2009. Please note: the papers have not been revised and up-dated and some of the answers may/will have changed for a variety of reasons, e.g changes in legislation, drug tariff etc.
For the 2009 examination the times allowed were 2 hours for the Closed Book and 3 hours for the Open Book. We suggest that the papers are attempted under examination conditions using these times.
Some of the questions may appear difficult or ambiguous. Please note that we test all questions on the basis of the results obtained.
