What services do we provide?
From February 2010 the Pharmacists Advice and Support Service will begin to introduce additional services. These services will be the ones, which pharmacists who completed the recent questionnaire felt were most needed.
1.Access to free and independent advice on benefit entitlement

To locate a solicitor who may specialise in a particular area of the law you may wish to contact the Law Society of Northern Ireland for a list, their number is: 028 9023 1614 and web site: www.lawsoc-ni.org
3. Access to expertise on employment issues
4.Additional information to assist in coping with many stressful circumstances can be accessed via the PPC web site: www.ppconline.info
Enter the user name PSNI and the password: EAP (not case sensitive).
5. If face to face counselling is necessary they will seek your permission to contact the Pharmacists Advice and Support Service so that face to face counselling may be arranged locally.
6. Access to free and independent debt advice
7. Financial support in an emergency or in the event of long term sickness or disability:
Either contact the Pharmacists Advice and Support Service Manager or complete the application form found on the web site and return it to the Pharmacists Advice and Support Service Manager.
8. Signposting to other services
9. Cash grants for specific items, possibly required because of illness or disability
10.This course would also be available to both the pharmacist and their spouses/partners.
11. If no session is being arranged the Pharmacists Advice and Support Service Manager will be able to assist with information/signposting.
