Registration Examination

The Registration Examination is held normally in June and October of each training year. A pass in this examination is a pre-requisite for registration. Trainees must have completed at least 45 weeks pre-registration training in an accredited pharmacy registered in Northern Ireland to be eligible to sit this examination.

The 2018 Registration Examinations will be held on:

Tuesday 12th June 2018 – SU Snack Bar, Queen’s Students’ Union, 79-81 University Road, Belfast BT7 1NF
Tuesday 2nd October 2018 – Society House, 73 University Street, Belfast BT7 1HL.

In order to access your individual result you will be required to enter your Examination Number, Surname and Date of Birth.

It is the candidate’s responsibility to have the relevant edition of these reference sources. They will not be provided.

Examination Syllabus 2017


The Examination Syllabus 2017 is provided in the Training Manual.

Examination Entry Form


The 2018 Registration Examination entry form is provided in the Training Manual. It can also be downloaded by clicking the Examination Entry Form link.

Applications must be received at least six weeks before the date of the examination (i.e. by 1st May 2018 for June examinations and 1st September 2018 for October examinations).

The fee for the Registration Examination 2017 is £174.
